Whitney Thayer Woods is a 824 acre conservation area that borders Wompatuck State Park, also part of Cohasset. Wompatuck has paved bike trails and hiking along with cross-country skiing. There are three beaches along the bay, and the Cohasset Yacht Club, Cohasset Sailing Club and a public boat launch in Cohasset Harbor.
Cohasset MA has a swim center, sailing club and recreation department, all of which are very active. Sandy Beach is a private beach club for residents only and provides a lifeguard during summer months. In addition, the Cohasset Sports Complex has an indoor space of 22,500 square feet of un-boarded wall-to-wall top of the line turf field which can be divided up into 4 training fields, 2 mid size fields for league play, or even one full size field. There is a private tennis club and golf club as well.
